The Challenge
IMEX Frankfurt brings together the various actors of the business event ecosystem—national and regional convention bureaus, hotel groups, venues, cruise lines, airlines, spa resorts, tech providers and event management specialists.
Destination Toronto faced a unique challenge: stand out in one of Europe's largest tourism and meetings industry trade shows—not once, but twice. After a successful inaugural MirrorDome installation at IMEX Frankfurt 2025, Destination Toronto returned in 2026 with heightened expectations. They needed to recapture attention, prove the technology's staying power, and demonstrate measurable innovation.
The MirrorDome Advantage
The MirrorDome is a touring immersive LED installation designed for maximum impact in trade show environments. Unlike traditional booth displays, it creates a fully immersive 360-degree environment that captures foot traffic and sustains engagement.
Core Technology
Reflective Architecture: The MirrorDome uses curved reflective surfaces paired with high-resolution LED systems to eliminate visual distortion and create seamless immersion across all viewing angles.
High-Resolution LED Displays: The installation delivers crystal-clear visuals across all surfaces, supporting generative and pre-produced content with equal impact.
Touring Capability: Engineered as a modular system, MirrorDome deploys rapidly to any venue, from Frankfurt to Las Vegas to Barcelona, without sacrificing quality or immersion.
2026 Evolution: LED Entrance + Glambot Integration
Dynamic LED Entrance Portal
The new LED entry feature transformed the visitor journey. Rather than simply entering a booth, attendees walked through an illuminated threshold—a visual statement that signaled entry into an immersive environment. The entrance drew foot traffic, created Instagram moments, and primed visitors psychologically for the immersive experience ahead.
Glambot Integration
The addition of a robotic slow-motion camera technology created a powerful experiential component. Visitors became the stars of their own cinematic experience, capturing red-carpet-style slow-motion videos within the immersive environment. Each video became shareable branded content, extending the booth's reach beyond the physical event.
For the second consecutive year, MirrorDome by Destination Toronto was the most visited booth on the IMEX Frankfurt floor. The enhanced LED entrance and glambot integration intensified engagement, drawing even greater crowds than the 2025 installation. Visitors didn't walk past. They queued. They stayed longer. They shared content on social media.
